Savannah-Chatham Metro Police have raided two homes as part of an investigation.

Six men and a woman were arrested at two houses in the Cuyler-Brownsville neighborhood. The homes are located in the 2300 block of Bulloch Street and the 900 block of West 40th Street.

Two of those arrests were made as individuals approached officers on foot at the intersection of Bulloch and West 40th Street. As many as five others were taken in for questioning.

Three guns and a large amount of marijuana and cocaine intended for sale were seized by police. Charges are pending in the ongoing investigation.

There were some concerns about whether someone opened fire during the raids.

"At this time, I have heard no reports of shots being fired," said SCMPD's Eunicia Baker.

Both homes were condemned by the city due to multiple code violations and deplorable living conditions seen by Metro investigators upon entry.

The investigation involved: SCMPD Precinct 3 detectives, Metro's Crime Suppression Unit, SWAT and SARIC.

The arrests are part of overall SCMPD operation of the 90-day long All Hands on Deck program, which is the same program that conducted the bust Thursday that resulted in arrests at a home on Waters Avenue.
