It wasn't pretty, but the Indians snapped their six game losing streak Sunday afternoon with 6-5 comeback victory over the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at Progressive Field. Justin Masterson took the hill for the Tribe, but he did not have his best stuff. Masterson could only go 4.1 innings, giving up seven hits and five runs.
The Indians bats finally woke up in the 6th inning with two, two-run home runs courtesy of Nick Swisher and Mike Aviles to pull the Indians within one run. Carlos Santana snapped out of his slump with a solo home run in the 7th to tie the game, while Michael Bourn singled later in the inning to bring home Lonnie Chisenhall for the deciding run.
Chris Perez came in to shut the door, earning his 18th save of the season.
The Indians next travel to Minnesota Monday to start a three game series with the Twins.
