Forty-one years after they famously went undefeated the 1972 Miami Dolphins are finally being invited to the White House. President Obama will honor them in a special ceremony on August 20.
The 1972 Miami Dolphins remain the only NFL team to win every game in the regular season and the playoffs.
The team went 17-0, beating the Washington Redskins in the Superbowl in 1973. The Dolphins were never honored by then-President Richard Nixon.
It's not clear why, but their historic winning streak did happen in the middle of the Watergate scandal.
