E. 9th Street will re-open ahead of schedule

The Cuyahoga County Department of Public Works announced Wednesday that E. 9th Street, from Euclid to Prospect, will re-open ahead of schedule. Cleveland City Officials promise the road will be open by 3:00 p.m. Thursday.

That section of E. 9th Street closed early Monday morning, August 12.

This closure was necessary due to the continuing work associated with the rehabilitation and repaving of the E. 9th Street corridor.

Until Thursday afternoon, traffic will continue to be detoured via Euclid Avenue, East 14th Street, and Prospect Avenue.

The Department of Public Works urges patience and caution when traveling within this construction zone. Motorists are encouraged to ride the RTA or carpool through OhioRideshare during these restrictions.
