The FBI is telling 19 Action News they did not find the remains of 18-year-old Christina Adkins in a home near where she vanished in 1995.
FBI Evidence Response Team was inside a house on Vega Street in Cleveland for 5 hours Friday afternoon searching for the remains of Adkins.
Christina vanished along West 25th in 1995, she was 5 months pregnant.
Adkins mom, Debbie Marmol, saw an alert about the search for her daughter on a friends cell phone while at work and rushed over to the house just in case Christina was found.
"It's important. It's been rough and I just have to keep going," says Marmol.
The FBI told reporter Scott Taylor they got a tip Adkins' remains might be inside the house.
A cadaver dog also swept the property.
The current owner isn't under any suspicion. Adkins lived just six blocks away from the house that was searched.
Christina's sister Tonya Adkins says, "she doesn't deserve to be buried in somebody's back yard or inside their house. That's not something anybody deserves let alone my sister."
Gina DeJesus's parents, Nancy and Felix, visited the search in the afternoon to give support to Christina's family.
