Man shot, killed during possible robbery

Cleveland police have released more details about a homicide that happened near East 109th Street Friday night that left one man dead.

It happened at 11:30 p.m. Friday near East 109th Street and St. Clair Avenue.

A preliminary investigation by police reveals that a man was traveling in the area in a vehicle when, Bruce Jernigan, 34, and two other men approached him.

Jernigan then stood in front of the vehicle, and pointed a gun at the driver.

The driver got out of his ca,  and fired shots at Jernigan.

The other two men also fired shots.

Jernigan was struck in the face, and EMS pronounced him dead on the scene.

Police believe the shooting was in connection with a robbery.

The 53 year old shooter was arrested in this incident.

This homicide was one of four shootings that happened this weekend.
