In Cleveland: Car thief flips car, goes to hospital then ends up in jail

On Thursday, September 5, at 1:18 p.m., Fourth District Cleveland Police Officers responded to the 3700 block of E. 69th Street for shots fired from a silver Buick Century.

Once in the area, police located the suspect vehicle with one male inside.

At this time officers attempted to conduct a vehicle stop but the driver took off.

After a short pursuit the suspect lost control of the vehicle and rolled it over in the 5500 block of Mound Avenue.

The 19-year-old suspect was taken into custody and placed under arrest without incident.

Further investigation revealed that the Buick Century was stolen from Garfield Heights.

The arrested male was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center to be evaluated and upon release he will be conveyed to the Division's Central Prison Unit.
