The first game of the season kicked-off Thursday and fans are at the Barley House on West 6th were checking out the action.

America's most popular and profitable sport is back.

"Really excited man.  The summer is usually kind of dead for sports, so I'm really excited for football to get back going," said Brandon Claxcon, Football Fan.

"Very excited. It's about time," said Pete Gori.

"I'm happy. I'm off early to catch it," said Jermaine Williams.

You'll have to wait a few more days for The Browns to hit the field and bartender Christie Smith can't wait.

"I'm a die hard Browns fan.  I was born and raised in Cleveland and it's the only team I'll ever root for," said Christie Smith. "We're starving for a championship here in Cleveland.  It's football season.  We live and die by it."

The Browns haven't won more than five games since 2007, so what are the expectations as they start a new season?

"Hopefully they win cause we represent Cleveland," says Tequilla Patterson.

"I say they go .500," added Brandon. "I think they'll finish at .500.  Last year was 5-11 and I think they'll do a lot better."

"All wins and no losses," said Christie Smith.

All wins and no losses is probably just a bit optimistic -- but that's just the passion at the start of a new season.
