PARMA, OH (WOIO) - Officers capture a handcuffed man who escaped while being arrested by Parma Police.
Officers say 24-year old Mario Wiley was at the BMV on Snow Road Friday morning, when workers ran his name and noticed he had an active warrant out for his arrest.
An off-duty Parma Police Officer was working security at the BMV and placed the man under arrest.
While being walked out to the cruiser in handcuffs, the suspect escaped and ran into a nearby wooded area, near Snow and Chevy.
The Cleveland Police helicopter assisted with the search.
Wiley was caught around 1:30 p.m. near Kaiser Permanente Hospital on Snow Road in Parma.
