The alleged East Cleveland serial killer appeared in court on Monday morning.
Michael Madison said very little during the brief court appearance, and for the first time, he was wearing street clothes instead of his prison jumpsuit.
Madison, 35, is accused of killing Shetisha Sheeley, Angela H. Deskins and Shirellda Terry.
Police found the first of the victims on July 19 after answering a complaint about odors coming from an East Cleveland garage. Two more bodies were discovered the following day. All three were wrapped in plastic bags.
Madison, a convicted sex offender, was arrested July 19 at his mother's home after a two-hour standoff with police.
The Capital Review Committee has yet to decide on seeking the death penalty against Madison.
Madison remains jailed on a $6M bond. He's due back in court on October 4.
