LAKEWOOD, OH (WOIO) - 19 Action News is learning more about the murder of a woman found dead in an apartment closet in Lakewood.
An indictment has just been filed against Johnny Lee Johnson. He's been indicted by a Cuyahoga County Grand Jury on six charges including aggravated murder, felony assault and tampering with evidence.
Court records show he killed Pamela Jo Friedl, 55, with a hammer. Records show he hit her several times in the head and then cleaned her apartment after the violent crime.
Friedl was found dead in a closet inside a unit of Elbur Manor apartments on Detroit Avenue on September 5.
It's believed Johnson and Friedl knew each other.
