A suspected serial rapist was in court on Friday morning.

Gregory Fitzgerald, Jr. pleaded not guilty to one count of rape, however, Cleveland Sex Crimes Detectives will go to a grand jury for charges in three more rapes.

Records show that Fitzgerald is a suspect in cases from 2005, 2008, 2011 and this year. Police say all of the sex assaults were carried out at gunpoint. And in one court document, an officer wrote, "no woman is safe with this man on our streets."

The mother of one 23-year old victim told 19 Action News that she had a feeling he was to blame for that attack. She knew his family.

"I wanted to attack him. I really did. I'm a mother, and you don't want nobody to hurt your kid, no matter how old they are," the woman said.

A judge set Fitzgerald's bond at $1.5M. Fitzgerald was also ordered to not have any contact with the alleged victims.
