AKRON, OH (WOIO) - The reward for any information that leads to the arrest of Taylor Robinson's killer has increased. It's now $11,000.
Wednesday investigators confirmed that the remains found in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park were that of the 19 year old Akron teen.
19 Action News has learned Taylor's family doesn't know when they can make funeral arrangements until officials release Taylor's skeletal remains to them. A private investigator working with the family says it could take weeks.
Taylor's mother was heartbroken as she spoke about her daughter Wednesday. Family members say they believe Taylor knew her attacker.
"She wasn't a child who deserved to have her body in a park," says Carmilla Robinson.
There are still many unanswered questions.
Experts still have to do forensic studies to determine how long Taylor's remains were at the park, when her body was put there and how she died.
Painful questions Taylor's family hopes will be answered to help find her killer. The reward meantime, is growing.
"I just want to thank everybody for all their time and help and effort that they helped in helping us find Taylor," says Carmilla.
The private investigator working with Taylor's family tells us he has narrowed Taylor's killer to a couple of people. He says police tell him they are nowhere near making an arrest.
