Starting in place of the injured Braxton Miller, Kenny Guiton did his own impersonation of a Heisman-candidate quarterback. Guiton passed for 276 yards and four touchdowns, and added 91 more yards on the ground, as Ohio State blasted Cal 52-34.
The Buckeyes lead 21-0 after their first three drives as Guiton struck twice to Devin Smith and once to Chris Fields for scoring passes. Smith finished with 149 yards and two touchdowns.
Jordan Hall paced the ground game with 168 yards on 30 carries. He scored three times.
