Fall-like weather, Firefighters recover after battling apartment blaze, Police investigate 2 homicides

Two Cleveland firefighters were injured after extinguishing a large fire in an east side apartment building Friday night.

Cleveland Firefighter and father, Bobby Kollar shared his recovery story with 19 Action News Reporter Dawn Kendrick.

Expect a Fall-like Sunday.

TODAY:  Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 60s for much of the day. Today is expected to reach a high of 70 degrees.

TONIGHT: Will be 56 degrees and cloudy with a few showers.

 

Detectives are investigating the shooting death an unidentified 25-year-old man killed Sunday morning.

Police were dispatched to 2992 South Moreland Blvd at 1:40 a.m.  

Upon arrival, EMS found a man lying in a driveway with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Police are also investigating another homicide that happened on the city's west side

The shooting happened on West 43rd Street.

Police responded to the call at 2:20 a.m. and found a 27-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest.

EMS rushed the victim to Metro Health Medical Center where he later died.
