STOW, OH (WOIO) - The man accused of sexually assaulting his neighbor at knifepoint in Stow was in court on Monday morning.
Flip Konstantinovich pleaded not guilty to rape, kidnapping and burglary. His bond was set at half a million dollars, and his case will be bound over the Grand Jury.
Police say Konstantinovich removed the screen at his 24-year-old neighbor's apartment last Friday, and attacked. The victim told police who attacked her and they put out his mug shot.
Brimfield police arrested Konstantinovich on Sunday morning, after a bank employee working inside the WalMart notified authorities that Konstantinovich was a known customer. Officers from Brimfield and Tallmadge went to the WalMart location and spotted the suspect inside his car, speeding out of the parking lot. Police proceeded to chase the suspect's car onto Tallmadge Road and Mogadore Road, and the suspect crashed into a utility pole.
Three police departments took part in grabbing Konstantinovich. Stow, Tallmadge and Brimfield.
Konstantinovich wasn't hurt, and was immediately hauled into jail.
