Student suspended over game of 'slap-cam' in Kent

KENT, OH (WOIO) - A student at Roosevelt High School in Kent has been suspended for five days after participating in a game called 'slap-cam.'

'Slap-cam' is where one student slaps another student and somebody else videotapes it.

Roosevelt Principal Robert Klinar tells 19 Action News the incident happened on Friday, September 13 on school property during school time. It was their first 'slap-cam' incident.

Klinar won't comment on ages or grades, but says it was a random attack. Both the victim and the suspect are males.

It is unknown if the victim received medical attention, but EMS was not called to the school.

Kent police are also investigating.

The school could not find any video of the incident posted online.
