Candlelight vigil for Officer Jason Gresko

WILLOUGHBY, OH (WOIO) -

There will be a candlelight vigil in honor of Willoughby Police Officer Jason Gresko.

It has been one year since Jason was killed in an accident while responding to assist another officer. 

Officer Jason Gresko was killed in the line of duty on September 21, 2012 when his cruiser collided with Scott Leland's pick-up truck while he was responding to an emergency call. Leland had a BAC of .14.

The vigil will be held the evening of Saturday, September 21, from 8 p.m. until 9: 45 p.m.

The location will be at the Wes Point Park

Anyone who would like attend is encouraged to bring a candle or a Chinese lantern or balloon to release for the lighting ceremony
