Bennett and Bynum may be ready for the season opener
The Cleveland Cavaliers start training camp next week and according to Cavs general manager Chris Grant, first round pick Anthony Bennett should be ready for action when it starts. Bennett commenced five-on-five full court action last week and said that Bennett's shoulder is fine.
While there is no timetable for the return of center Andrew Bynum, he has been a regular at Cleveland Clinic Courts lifting weights and running on the treadmill. Grant also commented 'He's done some stuff on the court not a lot, we've seen significant progress."
Bynum did not play at all last season as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers because of knee issues. He averaged 18.7 points and 11.8 rebounds with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2011-2012.
