Tallmadge Police arrest murder suspect in double murder

TALLMADGE, OH (WOIO) -

This afternoon at 1 p.m., Tallmadge detectives with the assistance of the Akron Bureau of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, arrested murder suspect Daniel T. Tighe, 39, of Akron.

Tighe is charged with aggravated murder in the death of his five-year-old son Peyton Ralston, murder in the death of his ex-girlfriend Wendy Ralston and felony domestic violence.

Additional charges are expected through the Summit County Grand Jury.

Tighe was taken into custody by Tallmadge Police without incident at a residence in the 1400 block of Breiding Road in Akron.

He had been living in a camper at that location since the bodies were found behind the home on Stone Creek on August 10.

Tighe will be incarcerated in the Summit County Jail pending his initial appearance via CCTV at the Stow Municipal Court.
