(WOIO) -

Both the Browns and Bills came out of their Thursday night match up with quarterback issues going forward this season. The Browns, of course loss Brian Hoyer to a season ending injury sending Brandon Weeden back into his starting roll.

Buffalo loss rookie EJ Manuel for several weeks with a right knee injury and former Browns back up Thaddeus Lewis will be the guy they turn to.

Lewis has spent the previous 5 weeks on the Bills practice squad before he was signed to the active roster Monday. The former Duke Blue Devil started one game for the Browns in 2012 completing 22-32 throws with 1 touchdown and1 interception.

Thad Lewis will start over un-drafted rookie quarterback Jeff Tuel who came in Thursday after Manuel was hurt.

The Bills have also worked out free agent quarterbacks Pate White and Dennis Dixon, however did not sign either one.
