BRR! Many in the FOX Carolina studio talking about being able to see their breath this AM, it's COLD out there! Early on, temperatures sit in the middle 30s in Western NC, with 40s in the Upstate. A Frost Advisory is in place for most of Western NC, excluding Polk and Rutherford counties, until 9:00am. Sensitive plants need to be covered to avoid losing them. Things you'll need today: a jacket, & sunglasses. With plenty of sunshine sticking around, with just a few afternoon clouds, we'll get into the mid-to-upper 60s area-wide.
Overnight, we'll stay dry but clouds will begin to thicken, lows staying slightly "warmer" in the middle 40s to low 50s.
Tuesday, expect mostly cloudy skies, with a 20% chance of a passing shower. Highs will be slightly warmer with a southerly breeze, in the middle 60s to low 70s. The cold front bringing the clouds will move out overnight into Wednesday, leaving us with clear skies for the rest of the week, and chilly temperatures. Expect highs through Friday in the 50s and 60s, with overnight lows area-wide in the 30s!
