After injuring his ankle two weeks ago Houston Texans' quarterback Matt Schaub is now healthy. He will not however, return to his starting position, at least right away.
Head coach Gary Kubiak announced Monday that Case Keenum will remain the starting quarterback for the Texans as they prepare to face the Indianapolis Colts this Sunday night.
Keenum had an impressive performance in his first career NFL start in a 17-16 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in week seven. He went 15-for-25 for 271 yards and a touchdown. Keenum also broke a five week streak in which a Texans quarterback had an interception returned for a touchdown.
Schaub may not be fully recovered which may be a reason for Kubiak's decision. Reports are that Schaub has torn ligaments in his ankle, but will play through the injury for the rest of the year.
