Euthanized monkey tests negative for rabies, Philadelphia school shooting suspect turns himself in, Chilly Sunday Weather

19 Action News has learned that Erie County Health officials euthanized a monkey on Saturday, January 18, after it bit a customer at a Vermilion car dealership on Monday.  According to the health department, the owner of "Brodi" the monkey, took it along for a ride to Pat O'Brien Chevrolet for a service appointment.While at the dealership, an employee asked to pet Brodi and was bitten on the finger. After the incident Brodi's owners tried to hide him from public health authorities at a friend's home outside of Erie County.It was later discovered that the owner was in violation of several of the  state's dangerous wild animal regulations. Despite a petition on to save Brodi's life, the animal located and put to sleep in order for the health department to perform a rabies test. The animal tested negative for rabies.

The suspect in Friday's high school shooting in Philadelphia has turned himself in. Accompanied by his lawyer, the juvenile suspect was taken into custody Saturday afternoon. He faces two counts of aggravated assault among other charges. Two students were shot in the arm during Friday's shooting in the gym at Delaware Valley Charter High School. The victims' injuries are not life-threatening. Investigators are still trying to figure out how many shots were fired. No shell was found at the scene, and police have not found the gun.
