Man wanted for attempted murder in Ft. Wright

FORT WRIGHT, KY (FOX19) -

A Newport man is wanted by police in connection with a reported assault and attempted murder of a woman last weekend in Fort Wright.

Jamie S. Holt, 22, has been charged with criminal attempt to commit murder. Police said the incident was reported Saturday around 2:15 p.m. at the victim's home on Fayette Circle. Investigators said the victim and Holt are acquaintances.

Fort Wright Police obtained a warrant for Holt and set bond at $50,000.

Holt is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

His last known address is 12 Bricker Lane in Newport with a Kentucky.

Authorities said he has a criminal history of drug, disorderly conduct and assault on police officer charges. Anyone with information regarding Holt's whereabouts is asked to call Fort Wright Police at (859) 331-2191.
