After winning their first 15 games this season, the Ohio State Men's basketball squad have been on a downward spiral. Monday night's 68-62 loss to Nebraska marks their fourth straight loss all coming to Big Ten teams.
The last win for the Buckeyes came over Nebraska on January 4th, they won that game by 31 points, and haven't won a game since. Ohio State came into Monday's game ranked 19th in the nation, they are likely to drop out of the top 25 following this four game skid.
Aaron Craft led the way for the Bucks' in scoring tonight with 12 points also adding seven rebounds. LaQuinton Ross and Lenzelle Smith were close bedind Craft, turning in 11 and 10 points respectively.
Nebraska took a 34-25 lead into halftime, but the Buckeyes opened up the second half with a 21-11 run to give themselves a 46-45 lead with under five minutes to play. The Huskers overcame the push and went on a 23-16 run themselves to close out the game and get the victory.
The Corn Huskers were led by Terran Petteway and Shavon Shields who each scored 18 in the victory. Nebraska shot 50% as a team in Monday's victory as opposed to 37.5% in the 84-53 loss to Ohio State on January 4th.
The Buckeyes (15-4) (2-4 Big Ten) will continue Big Ten play on Thursday as they travel to Illinois to take on the (13-6) (2-4 Big Ten) Fighting Illini.
