(WOIO) - The four-legged officer, Argus, is back on the beat. The K-9 returned to work Tuesday morning for the Tri-C's Police at Cuyahoga Community College Metro Campus after five months of rehabilitation.
In August, the German shepherd underwent surgery to repair a partially torn ACL in his left knee.
Argus rejoins his partner, Patrolwoman Anne Berry, who Argus has been living and working with for over six years.
"I missed him horribly," said Berry.
Argus and Berry joined forces when the German shepherd was a puppy back in April 2007. Argus is trained to sniff out explosives and track down suspects.
"It's awesome to have him back," Berry added.
