BEREA, OH (WOIO) - Keeping with his professional pedigree, Pettine is the son of a legendary high school football coach, Mike Pettine, Sr.
Mike Sr. is the winningest high school football coach in the state of Pennsylvania with a record of 326-32-4, taking the Central Bucks High School West ball club to four state championships in his 33-years as coach.
Pettine played under his dad and earned all-state honors as a quarterback and defensive back.
Central is the oldest of three high schools in the Doylestown, Pennsylvania school district.
Pettine later served as the Central assistant coach for five seasons (1988-1992).
