Some residents are being asked to conserve on key heating elements in anticipation of the extremely cold weather returning the week of January 26.
Dominion East Ohio urges customers to voluntarily turn down their thermostats and safely lower the setting on their water heaters.
Businesses are being urged to reduce the use of natural gas.
The efforts are throughout the coming week will help keep down bills and natural gas supplies flowing.
Conservation is key in keeping everyone's service reliable.
Some techniques include weather stripping your home, insulating doors and windows and blocking off drafts with a rolled up towel or throw rug.
"Dominion anticipates being able to provide reliable service again for the upcoming cold weather, but we also ask customers to conserve where they can do so safely," urges Scott Miller, Dominion East Ohio vice president and general manager.
Also, note that the colder weather can lead to higher natural gas bills.

Customers should also call Dominion if they experience any service interruptions.
In the event of an electric power outage natural gas appliances may not work.
