The American Red Cross of Northeast Ohio is opening several area chapters as warming centers on Monday, January 27 through Wednesday, January 29.  The warming centers will be open during business hours, from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
The center says that this is an opportunity for community members to come in out of the cold during the arctic blast that's expected to hit northeast Ohio this week.
There will be no meal services available at the warming centers.

The Federal Aviation Administration is getting ready to order more safety check on hundreds of planes.
The directive will affect more than 400 Boeing 767 jets.
The problem is a potential danger in the movable tail sections of the planes. The tail sections can jam and potentially cause pilots to lose control of the aircraft.
The safety order goes into effect on March 3.
The federal register says airlines have six years to address the problem. It's unlikely any airlines will cancel flights over the directive.
