Ford Motor Co. will pay record profit-sharing checks to united auto workers members after posting record profits in North mAerica. About 47,000 hourly workers will get checks of about $8,800. Ford agreed to more generous profit-sharing in the most recent labor agreement with the union. In return, veteran workers gave up an increase in their hourly pay rate. Ford's full-year net income was the strongest in more than a decade.

U.S. Rep. Michael Grimm, R - NY, physically threatened a reporter after Tuesday's State of the Union address.
The exchange at the U.S. Capitol was caught on camera. 
A NY1 reporter tried to ask the Republican about a federal investigation into his 2010 campaign fundraising.
Reporter Michael Scotto argued he was asking a valid question.
Grimm said, in part, "Let me be clear to you. If you ever do that to me again, I'll throw you off this (obscenity) balcony."
Grimm defended his actions in a statement to NY1.
