Jahvid Best, the Detroit Lions 30th overall pick of the 2010 draft has begun the suing process of the NFL and the Riddell brand. Best has a history of concussions dating back to his college playing days which ultimately ended his collegiate career.
According to Best's attorney he plans to set up a fund for future running backs that may experience a similar situation and assure they will be taken care of.
The most controversial issue would be that he passed NFL physicals and was able to proceed with the scouting and drafting process.
Best's attorney also states that he is doing this for precautionary reasons if he has lingering symptoms.
The lawsuit could open the door to many more cases.
