Browns hire Loggains

Berea, OH (WOIO) - The Browns were busy on Thursday, hiring a former offensive coordinator, Dowell Loggains, likely to be their quarterbacks coach, and then interviewed a current quarterbacks coach, John DeFilippo, for their offensive coordinator job.

Loggains was the coordinator for the Tennessee Titans under Mike Munchak, before being let go at the end of the season.

DeFilippo, a Youngstown native who's been compared with Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase (the Browns' top choice before he pulled his name out of consideration), is the Oakland Raiders quarterbacks coach.

The Browns also met with former Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan on Wednesday, but multiple reports claim Shanahan may be out of the running.
