New York, NY (WOIO) - Just when you thought it couldn't possibly get any worse, the Cavaliers found a new stage on which to flop, the bright lights of Broadway, as the New York Knicks jumped out to a huge first-half lead and simply embarrassed 'em on Thursday night, 117-86 at Madison Square Garden.
The Cavaliers were down 24 at the half, thanks in large part to "soft defense", in the words of head coach Mike Brown, and Carmelo Anthony's offense. The Knicks' forward threw down 22 of his 29 in the first half.
Kyrie Irving answered with 24 for the Cavs, but it wasn't nearly enough.
The loss is the Cavs' fifth in their past six games, and drops them 14 games under .500.
