I-480 westbound has re-opened after a man was struck and killed while changing a flat tire.
The Ohio Department of Transportation says that the highway was closed between Miles and Lee Road for more than five hours following the incident.
Warrensville Police say the accident occurred just before 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 2.
Authorities say the victim was transported to a local hospital and died as a result of his injuries.
At this time there is no word on if the driver stopped after hitting the victim or if anyone was taken into custody.
The victim's loved ones ask that drivers please view this tragedy as a reminder to call police and wait for their arrival before exiting a vehicle to fix a flat on the highway.
