Big loss down in Big D extends Cavs' streak

Dallas, TX (WOIO) - Another big loss for the Cavaliers, this time down in "Big D", and with that, the losing streak hit five straight, and seven out of eight, as the Cavs fell to the Mavericks on Monday night, 124-107.

Kryie Irving led the Cavs with a game-high 27 points, and also dished out 8 assists, but it wasn't enough to stop the Mavericks from pulling away in the second half.

Dirk Nowitzki threw down a team-high 23 for Dallas, while Monta Ellis added 22.

The Cavaliers (16-31) return home to host the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday.
