The man accused of shooting a five-year-old Cleveland girl and her mother while they were sitting in a parked SUV was arraigned on Wednesday morning.
Geoffrey Gurkovich, 32, pleaded not guilty to aggravated murder, felony assault, weapons charges and tampering with evidence. His bond remains at $5M.
Little Jermani Brooks and her mother, Noni, were shot in the head on the city's west side. The five-year-old girl was killed. Noni survived, but lost an eye.
Police say the Brooks family was not his intended target.
Gurkovich is due back in court on Feb. 10.
