COVENTRY TOWNSHIP, OH (WOIO) - The Summit County Sheriff's Office has arrested Chelsea Schobert in relation to the incident on Tuesday at a Coventry Township apartment complex.
Schobert was arrested for trafficking in drugs-crack cocaine. In addition, Chauncy Williams, 32, was arrested on a parole violation. Williams is facing additional charges pending the outcome of the investigation.
The Sheriff's Office recovered the 2011 Toyota Sienna used by Schobert and Williams on Tuesday while fleeing the scene of the shots fired on Redcrest Lane.
Sheriff's Office Detectives continued to attempt to locate the AK-47 that was fired in the apartment on February 3. The investigation led detectives to two different apartments at 491 Rhodes Avenue in Akron. A search warrant was obtained and the Summit County SWAT Team made entry into at 491 Rhodes Avenue, Apartments A & B.
During the search of the residences, two handguns, a marijuana cultivation system, several marijuana plants and several grams of cocaine were located in the residences.
Schobert is the adopted daughter of Jeffrey and Margaret Schobert. The couple was murdered in their New Franklin home last April.
Her boyfriend, Shawn Ford, Jr., is accused of murdering the couple in their home on April 2, 2013. He's also accused of assaulting his then-girlfriend, Chelsea Schobert, on March 23. She suffered stab wounds and a fractured skull.
