Third suspect arrested in Akron man's murder

AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

A fugitive wanted for aggravated murder and aggravated robbery has been arrested in North Akron by the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force.

Following several tips and hours of surveillance, Ronald Bishop Jr., 27, of Atlanta, Georgia was arrested and taken into custody on Linden Avenue in Akron on Tuesday night.

Shortly after 3 p.m. on January 20, a body was found in the roadway on Noble Avenue with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was later identified as Marshall Jones, 26, of Grand Avenue in Akron.

Two suspects, Devante Scurry, 19, and Charles Fortson, 37, were already in custody for their participation in the death of Jones.

Bishop was booked into the Summit County Jail.
