Cavaliers suffer most embarrassing loss yet

Cleveland (WOIO) - The Cavaliers reached a new low on Wednesday night, falling to a depleted Los Angeles Lakers team at the "Q", 119-108, their 6th straight loss, and 8th in 9 games.

The Lakers, who had lost seven straight coming into the game, had played on Tuesday night in Minneapolis, before flying into Cleveland at around 3 am Wednesday morning. Between injuries, and foul trouble, bodies were dropping for the Lakers. In fact, when Robert Sacre fouled out with about eight minutes left in the game, the Lakers were down to four players. Under NBA rules, Sacre was allowed to remain in the game, with every one of his subsequent fouls treated as a technical foul.

Despite it all, the Lakers built up a 29-pt second quarter lead, before Mike Brown benched most of his starters and watched the backups rally. Matthew Dellavedova's three-pointer pulled the Cavs within eight in the fourth quarter, but the Lakers never relinquished the lead.

C.J. Miles led the Cavaliers with 27 points.

Ryan Kelly led the Lakers with 26, while Jordan Farmer added 21.

The Cavs (16-33) take on the Wizards in Washington on Friday.
