(WOIO) - An amazingly realistic statue of a half-naked man has unnerved an all-women's college in Massachusetts.
The statue, called Sleepwalker, is part of a new exhibit at Wellesley College's Davis Museum.
The sculptor placed his statue in public view to draw attention to his exhibit at the college. Students have started a petition to move the statue inside the Davis Museum with the rest of the exhibit.
According to the petition, the statue "has become a source of apprehension, fear, and triggering thoughts regarding sexual assault for some members of our campus community."
As of Thursday morning, over 500 students have signed the petition.
