AKRON, OH (WOIO) - The City of Akron has issued a Snow Emergency Parking Ban for all city streets effective at 11 a.m. Monday, February 10.
The ban is in effect until further notice. Snow parking bans are issued for the purpose of the public's safety and the efficiency of snow clearing efforts on city streets.
A Snow Emergency Parking Ban means the City has the power to tow cars parked on city streets if they impede the progress of snow clearing operations. All cars should be removed from parking spots on city streets regardless of whether city crews are still plowing main roads or have moved to the residential side streets.
Cars not moved may be towed by the City.
