Connie Leonard and Kent Taylor of WAVE 3 News share adoption story with KET

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - WAVE 3 News anchor/reporter Connie Leonard and Sports Director Kent Taylor shared their adoption story on KET's Louisville Life Saturday night.

Kent and Connie, married since 1999, adopted Emerson Mackenzie Taylor just days after her birth in August 2012. The couple had spent the previous 10 years trying to conceive naturally or through in vitro fertilization. In a heartbreaking turn of events, they came close to adopting a baby boy in 2011, but the birth mother changed her mind at the last minute.
