PAINESVILLE, OH (WOIO) - A judge ordered a psych evaluation for the Perry Township man accused of shooting and killing his wife's dog.
Roger Harnish's attorney appeared in Painesville Municipal Court for him Tuesday morning.
Lake County Sheriffs Deputies responded to the couple's home on Feb. 4, after Harnish's wife managed to call 911 from a neighbor's house.
According to deputies, Harnish and his wife had a heated argument.
Since the dog, Terry, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, was protective of her, the wife put the dog in his cage. That is when Roger allegedly shot the dog four times.
Harnish remains out on bond and will be back in court on March 11.
