FINDLAY, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Flooding in Findlay caused a few road closures over the weekend. Currently, the Blanchard River sits just above 8 feet, which is still considered the "action stage."

Along the Blanchard River, you can hear ice cracking. While last week's warm-up did help slightly, it's causing some flooding concerns this week in the city of Findlay.

The rush of the river, combined with the wind, was enough to send chunks of ice floating down the Blanchard Monday. This past weekend's flooding has either receded or turned into ice rinks.

Most of the high water signs now sit off to the side of the road, allowing drivers to once again pass through to their destination.

Businesses on former flooded routes, like the Granary, are relieved the flooding has passed. They say flood waters on the south side of the city have been preventing customers from getting to their furniture. They also feel this winter is taking its toll on business in general.

"Some people, they don't like having to take side streets to get around town, so they'll just stay home and not come out," said Tymm Pelton with Granary Gift & Furniture Barn.

"The level 3s from the county have shut us down for several days, and the torrential rains slowed things down, and then today we have a beautiful sunny day! So, we're back up and running," said Jodi Walters with Granary Gift & Furniture Barn.

Police are still asking anyone who sees high waters not to try to drive through them. According to the police department, S. River Rd. from Stanford Pkwy to CR 140 is the only road closed at this time.

Floods are one of the most common hazards, but not all floods are alike. Learn more about how you can protect yourself and your home from flooding.

Medical Mutual of Ohio has confirmed that an employee sent 45 emails to the wrong person containing personal information for more than 6,000 of its Medicare Advantage customers.  According to a spokesperson for Med Mutual, based in Cleveland, this was an accident because the employee typed in an incorrect email address and the data was going to a third party that didn't have authorization to be looking at private information.
