BROADVIEW HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) - You can call Arthur Chu a winner. The 30-year old already won $180,000 on Jeopardy.
"I wanted to do everything I could to maximize my chances of winning," says Arthur Chu.
The popular game show contestant, with seven wins under his belt, is getting plenty of attention for his unique playing style.
"A lot of people in Jeopardy just start at the top of each category and go straight down. I think it's better to be unpredictable so I move around back and forth on the board. I go looking for daily doubles early on," says Chu.
Chu moved to Northeast Ohio with his wife a year ago. He works as a Compliance Analyst for a Broadview Heights insurance company.
He watched every episode of the quiz show he could find on youtube to prepare for the show.
"You increase your chances if you go big, and have the confidence early on so you can take those big breaks," says Chu.
Chu says he wants to donate some of his winnings to help find a cure for Fibromyalgia, a disorder his wife suffers from.
"Whatever I can do to help to try to find better treatment for it," says Chu.
Chu won't get the money until four months after his last show airs and yes he has to pay taxes on it.
He also says beating Ken Jennings 74-win record would be great.
