For the first time since the 1997-1998 season, Penn State swept Ohio State on the hardwood. The Nittany Lions survived on Thursday night, beating OSU 65-63 when Lenzelle Smith, Jr. missed a three pointer with only seconds to play in the game.
D. J. Newbill put in a game-high 23 points for the Lions. LaQuinton Ross scored 19 to lead the Buckeyes.
The loss dropped Ohio State to 9-7 in Big Ten play, it will also not help their perception as a bubble team for the NCAA Tournament next month.
