Woman says thugs attacked as she got off RTA bus

A woman says she was attacked by a group of thugs as she got off a RTA bus.

She says a rowdy mob rode the same bus she rode with her teen brother, and the mob followed them off.

The woman says six or seven guys roughed her up and stole a phone from her teen brother.

It happened late Monday afternoon at the 82nd Street and Superior Avenue stop in Cleveland along the number three line.

We recently showed you a man jumped by a group as he got off a bus downtown. Three were arrested in that case. Another man was recently arrested, possibly tied to several cell phone robberies of RTA riders.

Two men have been arrested for a stick up at a rapid station. We've even seen passengers getting into it with bus drivers.

In this latest case, the woman assaulted is a young mother. She didn't want to be identified since she still has to ride that same bus.

She reported the attack to Cleveland Police, and officers titled the report assault/gang related.

The victim tells 19 Action News she's now scared. Her message to you: pay attention to other riders, and pay attention when you get off the bus.
