Spring Artisan Market happening at the Tucson Museum of Art

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Everyone can enjoy themild Tucson weather this weekend by going to the outdoor spring Artisans Marketat the Tucson Museum of art. 

The market, located nearMain and Alameda St., begins Friday morning and continues through theweekend.  There are several tents alreadysetting up, as the market opens at 10 a.m. this morning. 

Admission is free foreveryone. 

For 2014 visitors canexpect to see more than 100 artisans displaying and selling their works. Itemsfor sale ranges from paintings and pottery to photography and much more, manyof the artisans are local, but there are few from out of town and even out ofstate.

A percentage of what issold will help support the Tucson Museum of Art.  Visitors to the Market can also expect livemusic, food and children's activities - something for everyone in the family.

Market organizers areexpecting hundreds, maybe even thousands of people to visit the market duringthe weekend. Hours for the market will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Sunday.

    On Saturday women will gather on Public Square, and around the country, to march for women's rights. Last year a massive estimated crowd of 500,000 took their message to the streets of Washington D.C. to bring awareness to issues of legislation and policies regarding human rights, including women's rights, immigration reform, healthcare reform, reproductive rights and the natural environment.
