Driver in road rage incident in possession of loaded guns, machete

MENTOR, OH (WOIO) -

Mentor Police are investigating a road rage incident last Friday.

The incident started on State Route 2 in Painesville Township. A woman called 911 after she was hit by the suspect's vehicle as they entered Mentor.

A Mentor officer was able to stop the 71-year-old suspect driver. He was found to be in possession of a loaded .45 caliber Glock handgun, a mini revolver, a rifle, ammunition and a machete. One of the handguns was loaded and in the dashboard easily within reach of the driver. The other handgun was also loaded and was in a bag on the front floor of the vehicle.

The driver was charged with carrying concealed weapons.
